FORSILAN is intended for painting concrete, plastered and brick exterior surfaces of buildings and structures operating in atmospheric conditions, incl. conditions of high humidity and polluted environments (coastal, industrial and urban areas). It is also suitable use for painting external surfaces previously painted with acrylic water dispersion paints or alkyd enamels (after receiving positive result from preliminary painting of small experimental area). IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO USE AS TOPCOAT INSIDE RESIDENTIAL PREMISES.
The paint forms mat coating with high weather resistance, good vapor permeability, water and dirt repellent properties. High resistance to UV radiation ensures a long service life (10 -12 years). The presence of effective fungicides prevents the appearance of mold, algae, etc. up to 10 years.
Base A can be used as white paint or tinted in light colors. Base C is tinted in dark colors.
The surface to be painted must be cleaned of chalk, old peeling paint and dirt. If there is visible mold damage, it is recommended to desinfect with AKVASEPT solution. It is recommended to prime porous surfaces with primer FORAKRIL BASE or water proofing primer FORAKRIL PRIMER. Using FORAKRIL PRIMER will provide maximum protection from moisture. It is allowed to use for priming coat FORSILAN paint itself diluted with water up to 15 % by volume.
Before use, mix the paint thoroughly and, if necessary, dilute with water to a working viscosity. The paint is applied with brush, roller, spray or airless sprayer on dry and clean surfaces in 1-2 layers. Application should be carried out at a temperature of air and the surface to be painted not lower than +5°C and a relative humidity not more than 85 %. Drying time at a temperature of +20°C: from dust – 1 hour, before applying next layer – 2 hours, until water resistance is achieved – 72 hours. Consumption is 6 – 11 m²/l for each layer and depends on the quality of surface. Wash painting tools with soap and water.
Store in tightly closed manufacturer’s containers at temperature above +5°C.
