DESCRIPTION:
Acrylic water-dispersion paint forming a matte black coating with high weather resistance and good vapor permeability. Due to the high flexibility of the film, cracking and peeling of the coating caused by various weather conditions are prevented. Excellent UV resistance ensures a long service life of 10–12 years. Contains fungicides that prevent the appearance of mold, algae, and other biological growth for up to 10 years. The black color visually emphasizes the geometry of the façade, highlighting architectural details. It pairs excellently with natural materials such as wood, stone, and metal.
FIELD OF APPLICATION:
Intended for painting external surfaces of concrete, plastered and brick buildings and structures exploited in atmospheric conditions. Can also be used for repair painting of surfaces previously painted with acrylic water dispersion paints. It is allowed to apply on surfaces previously painted with alkyd enamels. In this case it is necessary to perform a test painting on a small surface area with subsequent intercoat adhesion testing. Application as a finishing layer indoors is prohibited.
TECHNICAL PARAMETERS:
Colour: | black |
Gloss: | Matt |
Drying time at 20ºC temperature: | No more than 1 hour |
– Solids by weight, % | 53 ± 3 |
Vapor permeability ( Sd – coefficient of diffusion ability, m ) | 0.115 |
Consumption: | 7 – 10 m2/litre for one layer. Application on porous or uneven surfaces may result in increased material consumption |
Solvent: | Water |
Tools used for application: | Brush, roller, paint sprayer. For airless spray the recommended nozzle diameter is 0,017 — 0,021″. |
Storage period: | 36 months in tightly closed manufacturer’s container at the temperature exceeding +5ºC. |
PREPARATION OF PAINT FOR USE:
Stir carefully before use. If necessary thin with water to working viscosity : up to 5 % by volume when applied with brush or roller; up to 20 % by volume when applied by spray.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
The substrate to be painted must be sound and structurally intact (free from defects that could affect the painting process or subsequent performance). Remove all chalk, loose or flaking paint, and contaminants (such as oil residues, salt deposits, etc.) thoroughly using appropriate cleaning agents. It is essential to identify and eliminate the source of salt or chemical efflorescence; failure to do so may result in defects either after painting or during service life. If visible mould contamination is present, disinfect the surface with AKVASEPT solution.
Before painting, ensure that newly plastered surfaces, concrete, or fibre cement boards are fully dried; the minimum required drying period depends on the substrate type and drying conditions.
PRIMING OF SURFACE:
For porous surfaces it is recommended preliminary use deep impregnation primer FORAKRIL BASE. In order to achieve the maximum possible protection against moisture treatment with waterproofing primer FORAKRIL PRIMER must be performed. For priming we can also use the same paint FORAKRIL, pre-diluted with water up to 25 % by volume.
APPLICATION:
Apply in 1–2 coats at an air and substrate temperature not below +5°C and not above +35°C. The relative air humidity should not exceed 85%; optimal conditions are +15…+25°C with 50–60% relative humidity. Each coat should be applied continuously, without interruptions; on large surfaces, breaks should only occur at surface edges or corners. Do not paint on damp or wet surfaces.
Avoid application during cold, humid (rain, fog, dew), or windy conditions, as well as when the surface is exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not apply paint to surfaces that are overheated by sunlight.
TOOL CLEANING:
Use water for cleaning of tools.
