DESCRIPTION:
A fast-drying, two-component acid-curing lacquer. Forms a hard, glossy film with high abrasion resistance. When applied to standard wood species, no priming of the lacquered surface is required — the lacquer can be applied directly onto sanded parquet.
FIELD OF APPLICATION:
Intended for coating parquet floors in residential, public, and commercial areas requiring high wear resistance, as well as for finishing furniture and other wooden interior elements used indoors.
TECHNICAL PARAMETERS:
| Gloss: | Gloss |
| Drying time at 20ºC temperature: | not more than 3 hour |
| Solids contents (by weight) , % | 56,0 ± 3,0 |
| Consumption: | 8÷10 m2/l for one layer. |
| Solvent: | Solvent 646 |
| Tools used for application: | Brush, paint sprayer. |
| Storage period: | 48 months in tightly closed manufacturer’s container, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. |
| Packaging: | 2.7 l (volume is shown including hardener) |
PREPARATION OF VARNISH FOR USE:
Before use, stir the lacquer base thoroughly, then mix it with the hardener in the following ratio: 100 parts of lacquer base to 8 parts of hardener (by weight). Mixing should be done in a glass or ceramic container. After mixing, allow the blend to stand for 30 minutes before application. When applying with a brush or roller, the lacquer may be diluted with up to 5% solvent 646 by volume. Once the hardener has been added, the lacquer must be used within 8 hours.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
All dirt and dust must be removed from the surfaces to be coated. Separate priming is not required.
APPLICATION:
Apply the lacquer to clean, dry wooden surfaces in 2–3 coats using a brush or roller. Application by spray is permitted only in designated painting areas of furniture manufacturing facilities. Do not apply lacquer to wood with a moisture content exceeding 10%. During application and drying, the relative air humidity should be below 65%. Drying time for each coat is approximately 2 hours at +20°C. The coating reaches maximum hardness after 5–7 days. The minimum interval before applying the next coat is 3 hours.
Take special care when lacquering resinous softwoods (e.g., pine), as solvents contained in the lacquer may extract resins from the wood into the lacquer layer, causing small local surface defects (such as slight roughness). If this occurs, sand the affected areas with fine sandpaper and apply an additional thin layer of lacquer no earlier than 24 hours later.
When tinting the first lacquer layer with the wood-staining agent FURNICOLOR PRO, be aware of possible changes in the final appearance of the coating (shade and transparency of the film). The final appearance depends on the lacquer consumption rate, wood color and species, and the application method used.
TOOL CLEANING:
After work wash painting tools with solvent 646.
