MOVILAT 12 – Semi-matt, washable acrylic water-based wall paint for walls with slight silky (satin) gloss. Fast-drying easy-to-apply water-based acrylic paint with great adhesion to various surfaces. The paint is characterised by good spreading capacity and resistance to cleaning solutions and good vapour permeability. Non-dripping during the application. It may be tinted to many shades. Paint is intended for painting of walls and ceilings both in dry residential, office, public, etc. areas, as well as in the rooms with increased humidity – bathrooms, toilets, etc. It is intended for painting of plaster, concrete, brick and gypsum board and embossed acrylic, vinyl and fiber glass wallpapers, as well as wood-fibre and wood particleboards. This paint may be also applied indoors on primed metal and other surfaces previously painted with water-based paints. White (A base) which may be tinted to light shades. C base may be tinted in to dark shades using RILAKOLOR tinting system. Total number of shades – more than 16,000. Resistance to wet friction: Not less than 5000 cycles (DIN 53778); Class 1 (ISO 11998).
PREPARATION OF PAINT FOR USE:
Mix paint well before application. Dilute with water till required viscosity, if necessary.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
Clean off any dust, dirt, chalk, previously painted coat of glue paint or other type of old flaked paint. Treat the oil- or alkyd-painted surfaces with sandpaper until light-matte appearance is reached.
PRIMING OF SURFACE:
Porous plaster and concrete surfaces should be primed using MOVILAT BASE, FORAKRIL BASE, AKROPRIM. MOVILAT 12 can also be used itself as a primer diluted by water up to 15% of the paint volume.
APPLICATION:
Apply 2 layers to surfaces to be painted. For the application of the first layer, we recommend to dilute the paint with water up to 10%. Application of 1 – 2 layers is recommended in case of repainting of the previously painted surfaces. Air and painted surface temperature may not be lower than + 5ºC and higher than + 30ºC.
SURFACE TREATMENT:
Cleaning of fresh painted surface is allowed not earlier than one week after painting. A soft cloth or sponge dampened with clean water or weak alkaline cleaning solution may be used for cleaning of the surface. Cleaning should be completed with soft cloth or sponge dampened with clean water.
TOOL CLEANING:
Use water for cleaning of tools.
