NUOVAMAT – Deep matte acrylic water dilutable paint for walls and ceilings with ceramics. Especially abrasion-resistant, easy-to-clean deep matte acrylic aqueous dispersion paint. Composition of this paint is designed using modern technology, resulting in paint obtaining a unique set of qualities. NUOVAMAT contains particularly hard fillers based on ceramic and glass, making the surface especially resistant to dry and wet friction. Shine appearing as a result of intense mechanical impact (friction) can be easily and quickly removed by rubbing these spots with a wet cloth. Ceramic fillers provide a surface with even structure and increased dispersibility of light; visible joints are not formed and the painted area can easily be fixed, if necessary. Excellent flowing ability prevents formation of uneven surface spots, which could appear during application of paint by a roller. Paint is intended for painting of walls and ceilings in the residential, office, public and other premises with extensive use. Paint may also be used in the premises with increased moisture – bathrooms, toilet facilities, etc. Suitable for painting of plaster, concrete, brick, reinforcement and texturised acrylic, vinyl and glass-fibre fabric wall coverings. This paint may also be applied on prepared metal and other surfaces previously painted with aqueous dispersion paints. Paint is suitable for fixing of local damaged areas due to its excellent masking ability in two layers. White (A base), may be tinted in light shades using RILAKOLOR tinting system. Resistance to wet cleaning: 1st class according to ISO 11998 standard. More than 5000 cycles according to DIN 53778 standard.
PREPARATION OF PAINT FOR WORK:
Mix paint before application. Dilute with water to required viscosity, if necessary.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
Clean off any dust, dirt, chalk, previously painted coat of glue paint or other type of old flaked paint. Treat the alkyd- or oil-painted surfaces with sandpaper until light matte appearance is reached.
PRIMING OF SURFACE:
Spongy plastering and concrete surfaces should be primed using MOVILAT BASE, FORAKRIL BASE, AKROPRIM or NUOVAMAT paint diluted in water up to 15% of the paint volume in advance.
APPLICATION:
Apply 2 layers of paint. Tools used for application are brush, roller or sprayer. Air and painted surface temperature may not be lower than +5 ºC and not higher than +30ºC. Drying time at 20ºC temperature: 1 hour. Consumption: 8÷12 m2/l for one layer.
CLEANING OF TOOLS:
Use water for cleaning of tools.
SURFACE TREATMENT:
Cleaning of surface should be started not earlier than one week after painting. A cloth dampened with clean water or weak alkaline cleaning solution may be used for cleaning of surface. Cleaning should be completed by a sponge dampened with clean water.
STORAGE PERIOD:
36 months in tightly closed manufacturer’s container at the temperature exceeding +5ºC.
