Colour:Colorless (EC base). Can be tinted using the RILAKOLOR system according to the COLTEC WOOD color chart.
Gloss:Matt with slight silk gloss. Degree of gloss – 7
Drying time at 20ºC temperature:16÷20 hours. Oiled floors can be used 3 days after completing the full oiling and polishing cycle (carpets and furniture can be placed no earlier than 1 week after application).
Solids contents, %      69 ± 2.0
Consumption:•           15–20 m²/L for hardwoods (e.g., oak)

•           12–15 m²/L for softwoods (e.g., pine)

Solvent:VAITSOL
Tools used for application:Brush, roller or painter’s spatula
Storage period:36 months in tightly closed manufacturer’s container protected from heat.
Packaging:0.9 l; 2.7 l

PREPARATION OF OIL FOR USE:

Stir thoroughly before application. Dilute with water till required viscosity, if necessary.

PREPARATION OF SURFACE:

The wooden surface to be treated must be dry, clean, and free of dust and contaminants. Wood moisture content should not exceed 10%. New wooden surfaces must be sanded. For multi-stage sanding, start with grit 80 sandpaper. Final sanding should be done with grit 120 sandpaper.

APPLICATION (OILING):

Apply oil generously using a brush, roller, or coating spatula. Allow the oil to absorb for 20–25 minutes. During this time, monitor the absorption process. Apply additional oil to areas where it has fully absorbed, either directly from the container or by redistributing the excess from other areas. If the surface absorbs all the oil, repeat the oiling process until the wood is fully saturated.

No later than 20–30 minutes after oiling, rub the oil into the surface using a soft cloth or a polishing machine equipped with a brown pad, distributing the remaining oil evenly. Then remove any unabsorbed oil with a cloth.

After another 2–3 hours, perform a final polish with a soft cloth or a polishing machine fitted with a red pad. Any remaining unabsorbed oil must be wiped off again to avoid the formation of a glossy film, which will be difficult to remove once dry.

During application and drying, ambient and surface temperature should be between 10–25°C.

Floors can be walked on 3 days after oiling and polishing is complete. Carpets and furniture should not be placed for at least one week.

Depending on floor usage, the oiling procedure should be repeated every 6 months to 2 years.

TOOL CLEANING:

Important: Oily rags may spontaneously combust! Always soak used cloths in water and dispose of them properly! Clean application tools with white spirit or VAITSOL thinner.
