The water-soluble alkyd enamel is intended for painting both new cast iron, steel and aluminium radiators and those previously painted with alkyd enamels. Forms a light-resistant semi-matte coating, the operation of which is intended on surfaces heated to temperatures up to 100 ºС. The enamel Base A can be used in white or tinted in light shades.
When painting steel and cast iron surfaces, priming the surface with one of the following primers is necessary: GF-021, NOVAKOR, NEOSPRINT PRIMER or RIATOP PRIMER. Use the NEOSPRINT PRIMER or VL-02 primer for priming aluminium surfaces. Remove rust and all kinds of dirt before painting new surfaces. Remove peeling paint, rust residues and all kinds of dirt when finishing previously painted surfaces.
Stir the enamel thoroughly before use and dilute with water to working viscosity if necessary. Apply the enamel with a brush, roller or sprayer in 1–2 coats on clean and dry surfaces. Air temperature must not be lower than +10 ºC, temperature of the paintable radiator – not be higher than +50 ºC. Air relative humidity must not be higher than 85%. Enamel drying time at +20 ºC is 6 hours. When applying 2 coats, the drying time between applications at a temperature of +20 ºC is not less than 10 hours. The consumption of enamel will be 7–10 m²/l per coat, depending on the degree of surface smoothness and the thickness of the applied coat.
Use water to wash work tools. Store in a well-ventilated place in a tightly closed container at temperatures between +5 ºC and +30 ºC.
