DESCRIPTION:
The oil for finishing wooden surfaces imparts hydrophobic properties and forms a very pleasant decorative layer that effectively protects the wood from adverse weather conditions, moisture, and contamination. It enhances the wear resistance of treated surfaces and prevents water absorption without obscuring the natural grain and texture of the wood. The formulation includes fungicides that provide long-term protection (8–10 years) against mold, algae, and other biological threats.
FIELD OF APPLICATION:
TERRACE OIL is used for treatment of wooden surfaces exposed to atmosphere (e.g.terraces, walk ways, fences etc.). It can be used either for treatment of new or previously treated (impregnated with TEKSTURDEKOR , TEKSTURDEKORS AKVASATIN or TERRACEOIL and TERRACEOIL AKVA) surfaces provided that suction ability of surface remains unaffected. TERRACEOIL can be used only in tinted form. (Use of untinted TERRACEOIL for exterior surfaces is allowedonly as primers layer).
TECHNICAL PARAMETERS:

PREPARATION FOR USE:
The oil is ready to use and must not be diluted. Mix well before use.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
Before application, the surface must be dry, clean, and free from dust, grease (including oil stains) and other contaminants. For previously used or aged wood, disinfection with AKVASEPT solution is recommended.
PRIMING OF SURFACE:
Untreated wooden surfaces should be primed with WOOD PROTECT wood preservative before oil application.
APPLICATION:
Apply the oil with a brush or roller in 1–2 coats, carefully working along the wood grain. Special attention should be paid to the end grains of the boards. Ambient and surface temperatures should be no lower than +5ºC. Relative air humidity should not exceed 85%. When using a tinted base (EC), periodic stirring (every 1–2 hours) is required during application to maintain consistent color tone. For surfaces exposed to outdoor conditions and subject to mechanical wear, it is recommended to treat them regularly with TERRACEOIL (at least once per year) to ensure ongoing protection.
TOOL CLEANING:
Use VAITSOL or white spirit for cleaning of tools.
