Alkyd anti-corrosion primer-enamel. Intended for protection of metal surfaces against corrosion and for decorative finishing outdoors and indoors. Forms a coating with a golden metallic gloss. May be applied both directly on steel surfaces and on surfaces previously primed with GF-021, RIATOP PRIMER, NOVAKOR, NEOSPRINT PRIMER, VL-02 primers.

Stir ALUKID GOLD thoroughly before use. If necessary, may be diluted to working viscosity with white spirit or VAITSOL solvent. Up to 15% by volume of solvent can be used for roller or brush application. Use the same solvents also to clean work tools.  Application of ALUKID GOLD by spraying is allowed only in designated painting facilities of industrial plants and workshops. Before applying ALUKID GOLD, dirt and corrosion products (rust) should be removed from the surface to be painted. In cases where complete cleaning of the surface from corrosion products is not possible, it is necessary to clean at least the loose rust layer and perform the maximum possible surface treatment with abrasive tools such as sandpaper, steel brush, power grinders, etc. In this case, a possible reduction in the anti-corrosion effectiveness should be taken into account. Apply to prepared surfaces with a spray gun, paint brush or roller in 1 to 2 coats if the surface has been primed beforehand, or in 2 to 3 coats when painting non-primed surfaces. Air temperature must not be lower than +5 °C, relative air humidity – not higher than 85%. Primer-enamel consumption: 8 to 10 m²/l for one coat. Drying time at 20 ± 2 °C: not more than 12 hours.
