DESCRIPTION:
An easy-to-apply, waterborne paint based on an epoxy dispersion. When applied to concrete surfaces, it increases the strength of the upper layer of the substrate by sealing concrete pores. Forms a hard, semi-matt coating resistant to water, detergents, and other chemical agents that do not contain organic solvents. Reduces surface abrasion and provides high resistance to washing and elevated humidity. Virtually odourless, making it suitable for use in residential buildings.
FIELD OF APPLICATION:
Designed for painting concrete and other mineral substrates indoors in areas with medium to high service loads (residential, office, public, warehouse and similar premises). Suitable for use in childcare and educational facilities, as well as food service establishments (except for areas subject to continuous exposure to ultraviolet and bactericidal lamps). Substrates based on cement-modified self-levelling compounds must be tested for compatibility with the paint prior to application.
The primary application is floor coating; however, the paint may also be used on other surfaces, including indoor vertical surfaces. It is permitted for use on wooden floors that have retained their absorbency, as well as on previously painted surfaces (adhesion testing is recommended).
Painted substrates must be dimensionally stable and not subject to deformation during service. In the case of new polished concrete floors and other smooth surfaces, diamond grinding is required to create surface roughness, which improves coating adhesion and extends its service life.
PREPARATION OF PAINT FOR USE:
Mix paint well before application.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE:
Apply only to clean, dry surfaces free from dust, laitance, loose paint, oil, and other contaminants.
In case of fungal or mould contamination, pre-treat with AKVASEPT solution.
Maximum surface moisture content:
PRIMING OF SURFACE:
Primer not required.
APPLICATION:
Apply 2 layers to surfaces to be painted. Air and painted surface temperature may not be lower than + 5ºC and higher than + 30ºC.
SURFACE TREATMENT:
Use cleaning agents that do not contain solvents. Exception: White spirit may be used for removing oil stains.
Do not perform wet cleaning earlier than 7 days after painting.
TOOL CLEANING:
Use water for cleaning of tools.
