PREPARATION OF PAINT FOR USE:

Before use, the enamel base should be thoroughly mixed and combined with the hardener in the following ratio:

  • For URETOP 70 (TDL base): 100 : 24 by weight.
  • For URETOP 70 (TAL base): 100 : 30 by weight.
  • For URETOP 50 (TDL base): 100 : 21 by weight.

If necessary, the enamel can be diluted with Thinner 2290 or butyl acetate to the working viscosity, but not more than 20%.

The mixed enamel with hardener must be used within 6 hours.

PREPARATION OF SURFACE:

  • Steel surfaces: Must be cleaned of contaminants, corrosion products (rust), and degreased.
  • Galvanized and aluminum surfaces: Should be degreased, lightly sanded with fine-grain sandpaper, or subjected to light abrasive blasting, then washed with a 5% ammonia solution and dried..

PRIMING OF SURFACE:

The surface should be primed with one of the following primers depending on the metal type:

  • EPOPRIM primer for steel surfaces.
  • VL-02 primer for galvanized and aluminum surfaces
